There is a small carpark at SO 292 200 which is 1.5 miles from race HQ, which can be used (maybe cycle to and from race HQ). There is a layby (sometimes has fly-tipping) on the A465 1/2 mile due east of race HQ, which does go straight to Race HQ. on a footpath. Maybe muddy in wet weather.
